The Aripal encounter that had been launched by Government Forces during wee hours has ended while Forces have failed to recover any body of the militant.
Reports said that a large number of youth set fire crackers in air after the news spread that no body of any militant has been retrieved from the encounter site.
Forces set the house on fire in which the lone militant believed to be Hizb Commander Hamad Khan was present.
Witnesses told Kashmir News Trust that the militant managed to escape after he pumped a volley of bullets into the neck of a trooper Mahesh leaving him critically injured, a fact admitted by a police official who said that said trooper is battling for life at 92 Base Army hospital Srinagar.
The day long encounter created chaos and confusion in Aripal and its adjacent areas. A couple of people sustained injuries while clashing with Government Forces near gunfight site.
Forces even resorted to aerial firing when they found a mass gathering offering last rites of a local woman.
Latest reports said that Forces left the area without recovering the body of any militant
