Ganderbal, June 11: An army soldier was killed while another seriously injured after an army vehicle met with an accident on Srinagar-Leh road on Thursday.
Official sources told news agency KNT that an army vehicle part of a Convoy on way towards Srinagar from Leh skidded off from the main road at Ranga-Zojila resulting in the on spot death of one army soldier.
He said the vehicle after skidded off the road fall 300 feet down and was completely damaged.
Seriously injured army soldier was shifted to Army Hospital Sonmarag while the dead body was shifted to Army Cantonment Badami Bagh Srinagar.
In the accident the vehicle driver identified as Karan Singh son of Kamal Singh, a resident of Nagrota Jammu died on spot while while another person ( helper) namely Meraj Khan got injured and shifted to Army hospital Sonamarg. (KNT)
