Kulgam police registers case for uploading objectionable terrorism related posts on social media

Kulgam, June 28, KNT: police today took  cognizance of som netizens uploading and sharing "anti-national" posts on social media with the aim of inciting commission of crimes against police and disturbing public tranquility.

Police sources told KNT that a case with FIR 105/2020 U/S 16,18,38,39 (ULAP) Act has been lodged in the Police Station D H Pora of South Kashmir's Kulgam district and further investigation into the matter has been taken up.

"The users uploading the posts that amount to glorification of militant activities and threatening and denting the image of law enforcement agencies have been identified and will soon be arrested," police said.

Kulgam police advises all citizens to refrain from misuse of social media platforms and circulation of unauthenticated  information through such platforms. (KNT)
