Regional Passport Officer Srinagar awarded best in India

Srinagar, June 24, KDC: Regional Passport Officer, Kashmir, Brij Bhushan Nagar, has been awarded best passport officer of the country and Missions of India for his outstanding service by the ministry of External Affairs.

The award was conferred in him today by the ministry in a virtual conference on the occasion of Passport Seva Diwas.

Nagar, who is posted in Srinagar for the last three years, said that he has made his best efforts to address grievances of the applicants.

"Hajis and other applicants were facing hurdles in getting passport. I have streamlined the application process for Hajis. Earlier, a haji would get passport in two months, today he gets it in the same day he applies," Nagar told news agency Kashmir Dot Com.

"I belive blessings and prayers of Hajis have got me this award," he said.

He said that the grievance redressal has been streamlined and applicants have appreciated it on social media page  of the Passport Office and other platforms.

"The ministry recognised these appreciations, smooth and swift grievance redressal and awarded me," he said, adding that the staff posted in the office is best in the country.

"My staff is best and dedicated. Staff would come office in even most difficult situations. Their role is exemplary," he said.(KDC)
