Poonch, Mar 30 (KNO): Deputy Commissioner (DC) Poonch Inder Jeet Tuesday ordered suspension of 17 officials of health department after they were found absent from their duties during a surprise inspection conducted in the intervening night of Monday-Tuesday.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that on the directions of Deputy Commissioner, a night inspection was conducted and administrative officers visited and inspected dozens of health institutions across the district.
"Two health institutions were found locked and employees were found absent from their duties," officials said.
They added that seventeen employees have now been placed under suspension by Deputy Commissioner Poonch while inquiry has been ordered to probe laxity in duties.
The suspended officials include five from sub district hospital Mendhar, two from primary health center Mankote, two from primary health center Bata Dhurian, one from primary health center Chandak, two from primary health center Bufliyaz and five from sub district hospital Mandi—(KNO)
