Weather conditions would remain wet till Sep 11: Dir MeT Sonam Lotus

Srinagar, Sep 08 (KNO): The intermittent light rainfall that lashed Kashmir parts on Tuesday brought relief from the scorching heat that continued from past over a week in the Valley.

Director Meteorological department (MeT), Sonum Lotus told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the light rains lashed parts of the Valley since the wee hours of this morning.

He added that there is a possibility of more light intermittent rains across the Valley in the next two days. Lotus informed that as per the forecast, the weather would remain wet across Kashmir.

Director MeT also said that the prevalent weather conditions would start improving gradually from September 11 (Saturday), adding that the temperature has gone down with the light rainfall.

He added that there is no forecast of any heavy or moderate rainfall in any part of the Valley during the next two days.

Pertinently, the scorching heat continued across the Valley for the past over a week. The temperature in Srinagar and elsewhere was recorded over 30 degrees Celsius in the last couple of days—(KNO)
