Kashmir braces for light to moderate intensity of snowfall

Srinagar likely to witness rains, with light snowfall, Moderate intensity of Snowfall likely over most parts of higher reaches: Weather forecaster Faizan Arif

Srinagar, Jan 11 (KB): As Jammu and Kashmir witnessed deficient precipitation this winter so far, weathermen has predicted, light to moderate snowfall in the UT.

Independent weather forecaster Faizan Arif told Kashmir Bulletin that, rain/snow of light to moderate intensity is expected at most places in Kashmir on 11th January - today.

Faizan said that, Rain can also be there in some plains as temperatures may stay around 4-5°C. He added, "A few places in higher reaches can record up to 2 feet of snow till tomorrow morning."

"The main intensity of the western disturbance will be today, there are chances of rains in Srinagar with light snowfall( 50% chances)," he further added.

He ruled out any major snowfall in the plains. (Kashmir Bulletin --- KB)
